But fear not, dear pet lover! There are a number of eminently dog-friendly destinations dotted throughout the land. So pack your bags, load up the car, stuff the glove box with some delicious pet food treats, pack plenty of bottles of water and prepare for adventure! Amberley- West Sussex

The picturesque village of Amberley in West Sussex is the perfect place to get away from it all. Switch off your mobile, throw on your wellies and prepare to re-engage with the natural world. Of course, your fuzzy friend will be welcome, too. As well as boasting lots of gorgeous rural lands for walkies, there’s also the Amberley Museum. The Lake District- Cumbria

When it comes to a gorgeous trip away with your pets, you’d have to go a long way to beat the Cumbrian lakes. The lake district is a sprawling and beautiful paradise for amblers. There are plenty of picturesque hiking trails as well as abundant clear waters in which intrepid pets swim as a welcome reprieve from the summer heat.

Not to mention the picturesque towns with their boutique art shops and pet-friendly restaurants, cafes and tea rooms.

Clumber Park- Nottinghamshire

If you’re looking for somewhere you can get away from it all, surround yourself with natural beauty and give your excitable pooch somewhere where they can work off some of their boundless energy, Clumber park is the Perfect place!

The sprawling 3,800 acre park is the perfect place to explore with fluffy friends in tow, with picture-perfect picnic spots and stunning lakeside views. It’s all you could want from a pet-friendly retreat.
