Spotlight on Sanlorenzo’s 62 Steel Cloud 9

Leading Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has proudly delivered the first hull from its new steel model 62Steel, the 61.5m superyacht Cloud 9, to her new owners. Formerly known as Lammouche, she sets new standards within the steel and aluminium yacht sector.

Designed in-house by Sanlorenzo, who has been creating made-to-measure yachts since 1958, Cloud 9 features a timeless exterior design. Her light, airy yet contemporary interior is the work of Italian designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprin, who previously created the interior of a 46m yacht for Cloud 9’s owners.

Offering an impressive five-deck layout, the interior is distinguishable by its soft, neutral colour palette and the use of premium materials such as

  • leather,
  • marble,
  • stone and
  • oak wood throughout.

Floor to ceiling windows across three of the decks lets plenty of natural light flood her indoor spaces, enhancing her already generous 1,433 gross tonnage interior volume. Cloud 9 also features several custom-designed furnishings by Paszkowski and Casprin and several Minotti pieces.

Able to accommodate twelve guests, her 215-square metre exclusive owner apartment on the upper deck is a true standout feature. Accessible via an elevator, it offers 180° panoramic views. Located forward, it includes a stunning master stateroom, his and her bathrooms with a separate dressing room. Directly connected to its private outdoor terrace, the owners have access to their own swimming pool and lounge area.

Aft, there is a sky lounge with an open-air dining space. Her spacious main deck houses five guest staterooms, which include two staterooms with king-sized beds and three twin staterooms. Looked after a crew of 14, Cloud 9 has an ideal crew to guest ratio.

Ideal for those who enjoy entertaining, Cloud 9’s main saloon, located on the main deck, houses an expansive dining area with room for up to 16 guests as well as an outdoor living space. Guests can easily access another key feature here, the glass-bottomed swimming pool. Now a standard design feature on all of Sanlorenzo’s superyacht designs, this full-sized, transparent swimming pool also ensures the extensive beach club located below receives sufficient natural light. Spanning 92 square metres, the full-beam beach club features:

  • a sea-level lounge area,
  • hammam,
  • fitness centre
  • a bar,
  • as well as three folding terraces aft and to either side.

The ideal superyacht for owners and guests who enjoy travelling in style, with the utmost comforts she has been customised to suit her owner’s personal taste and wishes.
